For the purposes of allowing efficient and centralized communication between all members of European Aluminium, European Aluminium has put in place this Extranet. European Aluminium collects and processes the personal data necessary to the optimal functioning of the Extranet.

What information does European Aluminium collect?

European Aluminium collects personally identifiable information.

Your registration in this Extranet requires personal information such as your name, your email and your company name.  This information will be visible by both staff and registered members of European Aluminium.

Additional information may be added to your profile including your office and/or your professional mobile number, as well as your profile picture. However, this information will be only visible to European Aluminium staff members unless you indicate otherwise in your profile visibility options. Your profile allows for more information to be added (i.e. postal address), however, this will not be visible in any circumstance to anyone else but European Aluminium staff members.

This information is collected only with your knowledge and is kept in secure databases.

What does European Aluminium do with the information it collects?

European Aluminium may use the personal information you provide to:

  • Contact you — either in response to a query or suggestion, or to mail newsletters, documents, publications, invitations etc. to you;

  • Confirm your registration on the European Aluminium Extranet;

  • "Remember" your online profile and preferences;

  • Statistical analysis.

  • Share your contacts with external events agencies to facilitate the organisation of events and its communication

What if I don’t want to provide personal information?

Providing personal information on the European Aluminium Extranet is compulsory for the purpose of registering to the online database. The mandatory information you need to provide is your name, your email and the name of your company. This information will be visible by both staff and registered members of European Aluminium.

Additional information may be added to your profile however, this information will be only visible to European Aluminium staff members unless you indicate otherwise in your profile visibility options.

If you wish to delete the mandatory information from your profile, your account will have to be terminated as well.

Opting out and changing your information

At any time, you can modify your information by updating your profile page or you can cancel your account. If you choose to cancel your account, you may request the anonymization of your personal data. If European Aluminium cannot anonymize your data, your data will be erased.  By choosing to request the anonymization or erasure of your data, your will no longer have access to the Extranet.

You may object the processing of your data. In such case, European Aluminium shall inform you of its motivated decision to cease or continue the processing of your data, in accordance with article 21 of the Data Protection Regulation. You may also obtain the restriction of the processing of your personal data, in accordance with the conditions laid out in article 18 of the Data Protection Regulation.

The user has rights to access, rectification, limitation, opposition, portability and erasure.

Storage period

Your personal data will be stored until the termination of your Extranet membership upon request from you or upon your company’s departure from European Aluminium’s membership.


We do not sell or share any personally identifiable information volunteered on the European Aluminium Extranet to any third party. Any information provided to European Aluminium by users of the European Aluminium Extranet is held with the utmost care and security, and will not be used in ways other than as set forth in this privacy policy, or in ways to which you have explicitly consented. European Aluminium employs a range of technologies and security measures to protect the information maintained on our systems from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

All our employees who have access to, and are associated with the processing of personal data, are obliged to respect the confidentiality of official business matters, including personal data.
